Dear Fellow Blogger,
My name is Caren Williams and I have been the voice of our dear friend Mercer on the blog for several years. Sadly, Mercer passed away in late June. Our hearts are broken for dear Shea, her family and for the loss we all feel; you see everyone that knew Mercer, loved Mercer. He will never leave our hearts and he will always be with our Shea sitting right on her shoulder.
It has been a pleasure to put Mercer's thoughts into words, and in his honor, I would like to continue responding to your blog comments and posts. God bless each of you and please say a special prayer for our friend Mercer and for his best friend Shea.
Hugs to all 4 now,
Caren

Hello all :-)
I am back from a fantastic Spring Break trip with my dear daddy! Got to see Grandma and Grandpa, managed his lacrosse team with him, soaked up the vitamin D with Merc, all that jazz.
Anyway, quick word; Happy Good Friday everyone.
Humanity's greatest flaw was paid for in blood today - a tragic miracle that will last forever. Kneel and never forget. Remember... "Jesus is the reciept you hold in your hands for a bill you could never pay." So true! Love that quote
Bless and be blessed my dear bloggers. Amen to all our brothers and sisters in this life,
Shea

FIRST of all, I don't want to take away from the fun quiz below, so don't forget to scroll down and check that out too! I think I'll have aced it since I loved digging through St. Patrick and Irish books ever since last year. Anyway, on with the post!
So I'm Irish. Very Irish. And today is the one day where I fully embrace my heritage and almost feel a longing to go back to my roots...the sea never being more than an hour away in Ireland...the flocks and shepherds...the pubs...churches...cottages....cozy knit sweaters and delicious comfort food. I know I'm not alone! LOL
Let me do my best to take you to Ireland...if only in our minds.
I was at this concert. It was simply phenomenal...they don't call him the boss for nothing! But this song quite literally pounds you right back to the Emerald Isle. God bless the Irish, so great!

My Great Great Great Grandfather John, and his brother Edward, came from Ireland to America when the potato famine hit. They left their homeland behind for the brave journey to a new beginning. I can only imagine how hard it must've been for the rest of the family, and to leave it all behind.
They arrived during the Civil War. John moved to New York to start his new life. Edward ventured south. Then, the war raged and citizens were being drafted. John was paid by a wealthy man to go to war in his place for him. John fought for the North. Edward fought for the South. Brother versus brother at its truest.
They never met until the day John found out Edward was imprisoned by the Union. He freed him and put him on a ship back to the South. As irony would have it, that ship sank on the way back....quite the story, huh.
So let's not forget our roots! I'm raising my Kilians (kidding Mercer...) to an Irish blessing!
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
And yes. I will be wearing my flashing green shamrock necklace and singing Danny Boy all day. You know me!! lol.
Happy Saint Patrick's Day everyone. The famous dream called him to Ireland. Let that dream of calling be with you today.
Erin Go Bragh! :-)

Hi everybody,
SO sorry that it took me so long to write my promised concert post! It's been so busy lately; I've had a hard time keeping track of time even. Before I get going however, I'd like to acknowledge a very special dog that passed away a few days ago. His name was Bobby and he was a black lab. He gave me the most precious gift anyone could give me. Bobby was Mercer's Daddy. He was related to over 3,300 CCI dogs and was a wonderful father to all of them! So in a way, Bobby is still in our hearts and STILL making us smile :-). I never met him, but I do pray that he is so happy with God right now, playing and chewing bones and running around catching Frisbees. Thank you for all you have given us, Bobby.
Okay. Now on to the concert!!
I have 3 words.
UN-BE-LIEVABLE!!! :-)
Mom said it was worth EVERY penny of ticket money to see my reaction when they came on stage!! Luckily for me, our friend took care of the videos/pictures. I was...er, a bit too busy!!
I've got a few of the vids on youtube, so I'll give you some links!!

http://www.youtube.com/user/Starry95Night?feature=mhw5#p/u/1/qB2vqrMr_CU (Remember that our friend was video taping...you would have heard me singing with the crowd if that was me!! I LOVE when the crowd sings. Starry95Night is my username, btw)
Anyway, Mercer is not a big fan of them because he says he can't understand what they're saying....I gave him a video with lyrics to solve the problem LOL!! ;-)
Thank you all for enduring my excitement and need to share every little detail.
Love to you all,
Shea :-)
