Hello blogging friends! I just love reading all of your comments! I haven't gotten any books on tape yet, Rose, but I am trying to keep my mind active. I've been writing in my journal a lot lately, I'm working on a few projects! And Max, Mercer, and Molly are ALWAYS busy, which, of course, keeps me busy!
Jess, what were the history projects on? I love the idea of an Oreo project? I would love to hear more about that one, too!
The other day, my Daddy and I were watching Star Wars (more on that later) and you know how in the beginning the stuff you have to read goes by and then into space? Well Mr. Mercer here chose that time exactly to jump up on my bed and lay across me so my sight was limited to black furriness! You are heavier than you look sweetie, but I love you! And, of course, I know he feels he didn't get his fair share of popcorn! He never does but remember he has to keep a steady weight! Still it seems unfair though, huh Merc?
Anyway, I'll tell you (don't laugh now!) I have watched a Star Wars movie everyday for the past week. Sure, I've always been "nah I don't like sci-fi" or "no I never got into that type of stuff" - sure! I'm officially addicted, and officially a Harrison Ford fan. But, come on, at least I'm not like that guy on Dr. Phil who wants to be buried in a storm trooper suit!
When I'm not movie watching, there's always TV which may turn our brains to mush! I recommend turning on The Animal Planet or the History channel - there's some good stuff on those two channels! Don’t forget there is always my books and reading. That is really the best, what is everyone reading right now?

Hi Shea - so awesome to hear from you - we love Star Wars - but only the original 3 with your new favorite, Harrison Ford!!! When you are finished Star Wars then you need to watch the Indiana Jones films....I'm waiting for the most recent one to come on DVD....I LOL picturing Mercer as one big blog of black furriness on you! Welcome Back Shea. It's so exciting to see you back and typing!! Glad you're enjoying Star Wars. It's one of my favorites, too. But I also love old musicals so if you get a chance, make sure you watch some of the older musicals. One of my very favorites is The Sound of Music.
Thanks for asking about Jessie's projects. The Oreo video was very funny and now she's working on a new Oreo one. It requires lots of eating of Oreos so I think she's getting a good deal here.
She just finished a project on the explorer, Tristan de Luna. This was very difficult because he actually accomplished nothing. It's amazing. He was supposed to establish an permanent settlement near what is now Pensacola, FL. But he had all kinds of bad luck (he might have caused a lot of that himself) and the settlement failed. It would have been the first permanent European settlement in the continental US, but it turned out to be nothing. She had to find 10 of his achievements. Not an easy project. But they celebrate him every year in Pensacola. That was the funny part.
Mercer, don't you know you can't jump right on top of Shea. You have to sit next to her and snuggle.

hiya Shea! I'm an avid Star Wars fan too. I could watch those movies over and over and probably have several times. I never saw it in the theaters, the lines were so long and tickets were always sold out. The first time I saw the trilogy was when it came out on VHS video. I've been hooked ever since!
I'm reading the Twilight series right now. I just started the first book. I've heard so much about it and a movie will be out soon. It fills in where Harry Potter left off. What I mean by that is that it's the same kind of teen fantasy type reading and I LOVE the HP series.

Oh Mercer, Sylvia, and Emily what are you woofing about? Spill the beans furry friends! What happened on October 1st/2nd??? Rose, I agree 100 percent the originals are much better! No Han, no Star Wars I say ;-). I wanted to see the new Indiana Jones in the theatre but I never got to it. Too bad. And thank goodness they didn't use a new actor for Dr. Jones, we love you, Mr. Ford!

It may be too much for her to go to BABV yet as she does her entries on a blackberry right now and still does not spend too much time in her "car" but u never know with "our" Shea, she may surprise us! Shea and Rose, When Jessie gets her Oreo videos done, we just might post them. The 2nd one might be even funnier than the first. She's got some cute ideas for the 2nd one.
Yeah for Disney World. Did you know if you go to disneyparks.com you can get a free admission for the day of your birthday in 2009. It's only good for you, on your birthday, with proper id, but it's sounds like a good deal to me. One free day is better than none.

Hi Jess! The Sound of Music is a gem, too. we always sing along when we watch it! Julie Andrews is my favourite actress, I think! I hope Jessie gets an A on her project, she deserves it!
Hey there, Freya! Yup, those movies are timeless, I've watched episode V four times now! You know, I've never been a Harry Potter fan, actually. I mean I enjoy the movies but, I don't know if I'd watch them over and over again. Also, I've heard so much praise for Twilight, but I don't think I could get into it, vampires aren't my thing. But I am thrilled to hear you are reading! Keep up the good work!!!

Woof Jess, I can't wait to hear and maybe even see Jessie's new video. I think you all are having a blast doing the projects and they do sound so creative. U know, you should send the video to the makers of Oreo cookies, they just might want to use it for a commercial, ya never know.

Oh Shea, I just love Julie Andrews too. She's so wonderful and magical. Mary Poppins is another goodie.
We'll keep you posted on Jessie projects. The teacher has not posted this week's project yet so I'm curious what she comes home this week with. Never boring.
Jessie is really loving her Technology/Video class. When she started last year, she didn't like it. Then it turned out to be her favorite class. And now we can't stop her from making little videos. She made a few animations with BABV characters so if you want to watch those, they're at http://www.youtube.com/user/Video4Tech We'll definitely keep you posted on the Oreo videos.

Hey blog friends!
I love waking up to your comments on the blog! Jess that free admission to Disney World sounds awesome! I only wish their parks weren't so far away. Tonight we are watching Episode III, Revenge of the Sith. I remember I went to see it in the theatre twice and there were LOTS of SW fanatics, the theatre was always packed. It's a good one, the last one made.
To all my BABV friends, especially Brooklynn, I am so sorry to disappoint. I hope to be on soon although I have been on much less now, I love to see all you and I promise I will give you a definite date when I can. I hope you can still feel "warmth" in your hearts by knowing I pray for all of you and am so grateful for hearing from you on my blog!
